The story of Samuel Ellacott 1911 - 1997. Samuel Ernest Ellacott was born in Winkleigh and moved to North Devon in 1930, where he remained until his death. He was a greatly respected schoolteacher in Barnstaple and Braunton. He authored many books on Braunton and was a gifted illustrator too. £7.50 plus p&p. Around Braunton and Croyde.

A facsimile copy of a booklet published by the 'North Devon Railway Preservation Society' in 1974. The railway was a victim of the 'Beeching Axe' and closed in 1970. The NDRPS was formed in 1971 with the objective of retaining and reopening the line. Unfortunately this was doomed to fail.

In August 1902, Albert William Bishop, took 2 weeks holiday in Ilfracombe. For the second week he was joined by his fiancée Gertie.
